pastors and staff
Originally from Toronto, Josh is the founding pastor of Salem Chapel. Josh has a B.A. in Music from the University of Western Ontario and an M.A. in Christian Thought from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He and his wife, Kimberley, have been married for 13 years and have three sons, Caleb, Jesse, and Ezra.
After having served as a youth pastor for eight years, first at North Park Community Church in London, Ontario and then at Harvest Bible Chapel in Rolling Meadows, Illinois; Josh shifted his ministry focus to serve as the teaching pastor of Salem Chapel in July of 2004. Josh’s heart for ministry is the bold proclamation of God’s Word. Emphasizing the enduring truth of Scripture and its practical application, Josh desires to see God move powerfully among His people.
Josh loves being with his wife, aiming for “dad of the year,” and anything that involves water or football. He also spends time reading, writing, and asking for another bulldog.
Bill Ketner currently serves as the Executive Pastor. Bill graduated from the University of Oklahoma and received his MDiv from Southwestern Seminary. He worked in healthcare for over 25 years and is thankful for his time there, but humbled by the opportunity to be a part of the team at Salem Chapel. He and his wife, Cindy have two great daughters, Jane and Claire. In his free time, Bill loves spending time with his wife, being involved in whatever his daughters are interested in, traveling to the beach and running.
Bill is passionate about seeing Jesus transform lives. He wants Salem Chapel to be a welcoming place for young and old, new and experienced in their faith, that all may know Christ and grow in their walks with Him.
